Hi, I’m Lisa — a lifelong artist, professional photographer, and the heart behind Star of the Sea Designs. I live on beautiful Cape Cod, MA, USA with my family, two energetic beagles, a couple of saltwater fish tanks, and a toad named Teddy who keeps me company in the garden.
After nearly two decades as a photographer — including work published in magazines and Catholic organizations like the GIVEN Institute and CMSWR — life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That experience deepened my connection to faith, nature, and creativity. It inspired me to create not only through a camera lens but also with my hands and heart.
Star of the Sea Designs was born from beach walks, quiet prayers, and a deep love for the ocean, the saints, and handmade beauty. I now spend my days outside as much as possible, crafting coastal-inspired jewelry and Catholic gifts using sea glass, shells, gemstones, and hand-designed charms — each piece infused with meaning, care, and prayer.
Everything here is made by me, by hand, and with love. I happily accept custom orders and am honored to create something meaningful just for you or someone you love.
